Diethylene glycol butyl ether acetate has a very high boiling point and is mainly used as a high boiling point solvent in high-temperature porcelain enameling and printing inks. It is also used as a coalescing agent in latex paints. Due to its slow evaporation, at 20℃, its solubility in water is 65g/L [2], so it can be used as a solvent for screen printing inks and polyvinyl acetate coating printing glazes. It can also be used as a co-boiling agent for the separation of alcohols and ketones.
